3.- Bluff cards - I Want to Believe edition

 
The first Bluffs released have been the result of a collaborative "brainstorming" of ideas among different fans. Greg FMX suggested to create a card to represent an implant (similar to the Scully's one). This implant remains in play and may allow to play abduction cards for free. Most of the Bluffs recreate the atmosphere of many episodes. The card effects are related with unforgettable scenes from the series, as the visions from Samantha that Mulder experiences, or the Death card Tarot that is shown on "Clyde Bruckman's Final repose". You can download all these fan cards and print them out, but remember that you cannot use them for commercial use!

  • Linda Bowman: Ensures only skilled Agents to participate in the skill check, increasing difficulty to meet the Site pre-requisite.

  • Electric Anomalies: Forces opponents to discard electrical equipment, potentially weakening their setup.

  • Rigged Lottery: Provides strategic advantage by allowing you to choose and discard opponent's cards.

  • The Right Hand’s Toll: Allows resource transfer from opponent, giving you a tactical edge in resource management.

  • Cerulean Hunt: Offers flexibility by swapping cards with existing Bluffs, enhancing strategic depth.

  • Voodoo Ritual: Reduces the cost of playing an Adversary card, saving crucial points for other uses and being able to play expensive Adversary cards more easily.

  • Unexpected Stroke: Debuffs an Agent's skill check, making it easier to succeed in challenges against them.

  • They are Watching: Forces opponents to play with an open hand, giving you complete visibility and strategic advantage.

  • Distracting Vision: Allows playing a Bluff card at half cost, providing a cost-effective strategy to disrupt opponents.

  • Mirage of Samantha: Offers dual benefits: increasing your resource pool or disrupting your opponent's hand.

  • Ghostly Haunting: Enables playing a Phenomena Adversary, expanding your tactical options.

  • Trust Conflict: Allows you to cycle through your deck, ensuring you have the best cards for your strategy.

  • Charles Wesley Gotts: Provides necessary Keywords to play a Pawn Adversary, enhancing your strategic arsenal.

  • Shadowed Dealings: Halves the cost of Bluff cards, making it easier to disrupt opponents economically.

  • Haunting Trickery: Debuffs an Agent's skill temporarily, reducing their effectiveness in challenges.

  • Neck Biochip Implant: Lowers an Agent's HEALTH and makes them more susceptible to ALIEN MANIPULATION cards.

  • Unexpected Hospital Visit: Forces an Agent to go to the Hospital, removing them temporarily from play.

  • Never Again: Reduces an Agent's skills, weakening their overall performance during investigations.

  • Psychotic Episodes: Debuffs an Agent based on Team size, strategically reducing their effectiveness.

  • Persuasive Push: Turns an Agent's skill contribution negative, disrupting their ability to meet Site prerequisites.

  • Hog Hideout Hazard: Forces a subterfuge skill check, potentially sending an Agent to the Hospital.

  • Alien Abduction: Removes an Agent from play temporarily, impacting the opponent's Team composition.

  • Agent's Verschwinden: Temporarily removes an Agent, placing them back in the deck, which can delay their use.

  • Shitstorming the X-Files: Changes site prerequisites, making it more difficult for opponents to succeed.

  • Frozen Vitrification: Alters site prerequisites, providing flexibility in challenges.

  • Eyes of Obedience: Changes site prerequisites, allowing for tailored strategic moves.

  • Blazzing Pages: Sets a high prerequisite for OCCULT INVESTIGATION, potentially stalling opponents.

  • Éí 'Aaníígóó 'Áhoot'é: Alters site prerequisites to ALIEN INVESTIGATION, challenging opponents' adaptability.

  • Dark Dealings: Subtracts from skill checks, making it harder for opponents to succeed.

  • Fingerprints Erased: Reduces opponents' skill check effectiveness in ALIEN INVESTIGATION or EVIDENCE COLLECTION.

  • Faith Departure: Lowers skill checks for ALIEN or OCCULT INVESTIGATION, impeding opponent progress.

  • Scripted Fate: Predicts and nullifies an opponent's question, or adds resources if wrong, offering a win-win scenario.

  • Blevins’ Inquiry: Forces a skeptic Agent back to the Bureau, disrupting their current mission.

  • Fateful Omen: Temporarily removes an FBI Agent from contributing to skill checks.

  • Inexplicable Mind Vibes: Sends a BELIEVER Agent to the hospital, reducing their immediate impact.

  • Unearthly Exposure: Temporarily removes an Agent from play, gradually returning them over time.

  • Restricted Access Notice: Forces a skill check, limiting contributions to FBI Agents only if failed.

  • Die Wahrheit ist irgendwo da draußen: Requires a SUBTERFUGE skill check, potentially restricting Agent contributions.

  • Files in Flames: Allows replacement of the X-File card if opponent succeeds, adding strategic flexibility.
