This is a description of some of the Event cards and the advantages of each one of them:
- Third Elder’s Deliberation: During the Briefing Phase, remove one Game Effect token on any Agent that normally starts with at least one token. You may only have one of this card in your Bureau deck. Remove this card from play. => Good card to remove a valuable token from an opponent's Agent.
- Revitalizing Rest: During the Briefing Phase, place one token on one Agent you control that normally starts with at least one token. This token is usable in the same way that starting tokens can be used. Remove this card from play. => Similar effect but to replenish a token. Perfect card for Agents like Albert Hosteen or Clyde Bruckman.
- One Breath: Play this card to search through your Bureau Deck and add any one Event card to your hand. Show your opponent which card you have added. Shuffle your deck. => Just a new edition of a rare card, so fans may print it and play it. New design.
- Deny Everything: Play this card immediately after your opponent asks you a question. You may respond with "from the game." => Just a new edition of a rare card, so fans may print it and play it. New design.
- Government Watchlist: Place this card on your opponent's Field. As long as this card is in play, your opponent must play with all of the CP cost cards in his hand face up on the table. Place three counters on this card when it comes into play. Remove one counter each of the attached Agents' Briefing Phases. When the last counter is removed, discard this card. => Circuit Board Implant's effect, but now for Active players!.
- Manhole Surprise: Play this card to search through your Bureau deck for any one Keyword BLUFF card. Add the card to your hand and reveal it to your opponent. Shuffle your deck. => The first card to search for a Bluff in your deck!
- William: Apply a +2 modifier to any skill check made by a Team of Agents in the Field during the Investigation phase. => Cards with similar effects as Smoke and Mirrors, but cheaper, as they can only be used during the Investigation phase (more restricted as S & M).
- Emily: Apply a +1 modifier to any skill check made by a Team of Agents in the Field during the Investigation phase. => Cards with similar effects as Smoke and Mirrors, but cheaper, as they can only be used during the Investigation phase (more restricted as S & M).
- Henry Weems: Apply a +3 modifier to any skill check made by a Team of Agents in the Field during the Investigation phase. => Cards with similar effects as Smoke and Mirrors, but cheaper, as
they can only be used during the Investigation phase (more restricted as
S & M). Do you remember that lucky guy in "The Goldberg Variation".
- Secret Protection: Play this card during the Investigation phase, before any Combat has taken place, to search your Bureau Deck for any one card with the keyword COMBAT. Add the card to your hand and reveal it to your opponent. Shuffle your deck. => Great card to search for a Combat card, whether you are Active or Directed player. If you have an Adversary in hand, play it before the Combat start! (remember that only Combat cards may be played during a Combat).
- FBI Credentialed: Play this card to add the Keyword FBI to any Agent in play (your choice) until the end of the turn. => Good card to be used as a Combo with many others that affect only FBI Agents.
- Agent on Demand: Search through your Bureau Deck and select an Agent with a Cost of 3 or less (X) and place it in the Bureau section. If this card is negated, remove it as well as the selected Agent from the game. During the Briefing Phase, pay X upkeep or discard this card and the selected Agent. Ignore Agent's Game Effect. => Cheaper version as "Additional Resources", with cheaper upkeep, but clarifying that Game Effect must be ignored.
- Unstoppable Pursuit: Play this card during the Case Assignment phase to move one Agent in a Team assigned to a Site to another Team in the Field assigned to a different Site. => This Conspiracy card can be very dangerous for a player that plays two Teams and two Sites. But you need at least two Teams and two Sites to play it.
- Second Chance Memories: Play this card during the Investigation Phase. If a Team of Agents you control fails the Site prerequisite skill check, you may recover up to two cards played on that Site from your Discard Pile (your choice), including Combat cards, but you cannot play them again this turn. => A way to finish in good mood those turns you are not able to meet a Site prerequisite Skill check.
- Deal Master: Play this card during the Briefing phase to double the cost of one RP card you had discarded this turn in order to gain an equal number of CPs to your conspiracy pool. => Good card to get resources during the Briefing phase as Directed player.
- Krycek’s Deadly Ultimatum: Play this card to force any opponent to skip the Healing phase. => Krycek never lets you down :-D
- Agent Pathogen Treatment: Play this card to negate any Keyword ALIEN MANIPULATION card or to heal 1 point of damage on any Agent in the Hospital. => A new healing card that can also be used against those annoying ALIEN MANIPULATION sticky cards.
- Section Chief Scott Blevins Assassinated: If your opponent uses Agent Blevins as RES 2, while being in the Bureau during the Briefing phase, Agent Blevins is instantly killed and removed from the game. => Blevins also deserved his own killer card.
- Scully’s Cancer: Play this card to force Agent Dana Scully's Team to make a BUREAUCRACY 4+ skill check. If they fail, move Scully to the Hospital immediately with zero HEALTH. Scully's recovery rate will be 1 damage token per turn. Attach this card to Scully as a reminder until she is fully healed. You can negate this card by using the Alien Pathogen Treatment card. => We needed a card related with this topic. You reduce Scully's HEALTH to zero and halve her recovery rate.
- DNA Disclosure: Play on one Team in the Field. If the Team makes a COMPUTER skill check 5+, then they may add 3 to an ALIEN INVESTIGATION Site skill check (or 1 to any other Site skill check). Discard this card after you have used the modifier. => Similar to other cards (Fingerprints...) but in this case focused on a higher ALIEN INVESTIGATION bonus (less bonus in the rest of skill checks).
- Truthful Journey: You may move up to two Agents from the Bureau Section to the Field immediately. This card may not be played once an Adversary has forced combat until after the combat is resolved. If two Agents are moved, they must join the same Team in the Field. => A card that allows to move quickly two Agents from the Bureau to the Field, so you can requisition Bureau cards on your Agents and later send them on time (on the same turn) to the Field. Similar to "Travel Arrangements", but up to 2 Agents, but restricted to Bureau => Field, to balance the cost.
- God’s Blessing: Place this card in the Field. Once during your turn as Directed player you may pay 2 CP to move the top card of your opponent's Bureau deck into their Discard Pile. Your opponent may pay 7 RP to force you to discard this card. => A good card to empty your opponent's most valuable cards, like Deep Throat.
- Three words, one solution: Play this card to discard all CP tokens from your opponent's pool. The first card with CP cost played by your opponent may be played for free this turn. =>
- Fox Mulder, Abducted: Play on a Team of Agents including Fox Mulder to immediately place that Agent ten cards down, face up, in the owning player's Bureau deck. Any equipment and/or token that Mulder had is discarded. When Mulder's card reaches the top of the deck, the Agent's card must be immediately moved to the Hospital (undamaged). => We needed a card like this to balance "Dana Scully, Abducted". The Fox hunt!
- Tricky Trick: Play this card immediately after you have received a "yes" answer to the X-File Characteristic. You may take one RP card from your Discard Pile. => A card to redeem your success after a "yes" with a valuable card from your discard pile.
- Fortune’s Pick: Play this card to search through your Bureau Deck and add any one Event card with activator ACTIVE to your hand. Show the card to your opponents. Shuffle your deck. => Cheap version of "One Breath", just for ACTIVE Events.
- Alien Relic Unveiled: Play on one Agent to allow that Agent to use their EVIDENCE COLLECTION skill number for any one ALIEN INVESTIGATION or SCIENCES skill check. => Alligned with cards like "I want to believe".
- Langly (Amended version): Negate one Bluff card attached to a Site (before the Bluff cost has been paid). If there are several Bluffs, choose one to be discarded randomly. The Bluff's owner may choose not to play any of the remaining Bluffs attached and discard them. => Just a new edition to clarify the use of the card (considering the most voted opinions among players (the use of this card will never have a global consensus).
- Lucky Keyword Unlock: Play on one Team in the Field. If the Team makes a COMPUTER skill check 5+, then they may add 2 to any Site skill check. Discard this card after you have used the modifier. => We need to change this card text as it is very similar to DNA Disclosure.
- Three of a Kind: You may use this card to place up to six cards under it (face down) at any time. These cards cannot contain the Activator CONSPIRACY. You can play cards from here as if they were in your hand, with their cost increased by 1. Discard all cards if this card is negated. Each player may only have one of this card in their deck. => Good card to avoid discarding cards from your hand during Debrieging phase. You can store them under this card and maybe play them if needed. But it can also be negated and you may lose the cards under it.
